About us

New Thinking magazine is about no one way of thinking. It is a nexus of expertise untethered from the 24-hour news cycle. It is a space where minds in a variety of fields can step away from their niches and take the long view. Here, diversity of thought is a singular strength.

In a media climate of intense polarization, 280-character limits, and viral clips, we aim to publish the kind of thought that looks at the spaces between and the paths forward that they present. We are a venue that exists between long-form journalism and social media, where experience takes centerstage.
